Zofia J. Komives, age 90, of Toledo passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, January 30, 2010. Zofia was born January 19, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio to Stanislaw and Frances Pacewicz. She worked 10 years at Champion Spark Plug as a line inspector and then became a fulltime homemaker. She was an avid Buckeye fan as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kolman J. Komives; her parents; 7 siblings and grandson, Andrew R. Gettings. Survivng are daughters Barbara (Dwight) Gettings and Shirley (Neal) Kostanski; grandchildren, Michelle (Fred) Genzman, Sean (Lori) Gettings, Megan (Matt) Gibson and Bryan Kostanski; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Genzman, Daniel Genzman and Lena Gettings.
Zofia's family extends heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Nancy, Lisa and Rose from Odessey Hospice, who took wonderful care of her and also Mobile Meals of Toledo.
At Zofia's request, there will be no visitation or viewing. Those wishing to contribute in Zofia's memory are asked to consider Mobile Meals of Toledo or Odessey Hospice.
