Wyman Henry Davis II, age 34, of Toledo, passed away July 5, 2020. Wyman was born May 12, 1986 in Detroit, Michigan to Wyman and Marita (Hill) Davis. He attended Southview and graduated from Bowsher High School. Wyman was on the football and basketball teams. He studied at Owens Community College and transferred to Henry Ford Community College. He was a correctional officer for Alvis House until he retired for medical reasons. Wyman enjoyed playing and coaching sports, especially basketball and football. He enjoyed watching boxing. Wyman was a mentor to his brother, Doobee and nephew's. He will be remembered as a smart and intelligent (Mr. Encyclopedia) young man who was a great son, father and uncle. Wyman was always there for his family. In his free time, he enjoyed camping with his family and playing 2K with his brother and nephew's. Wyman enjoyed rapping and singing to his baby.
Wyman was preceded in death by his great-niece September Davis. Left to cherish his memory is his; mother, Marita (Kevin) Owens; father, Wyman H. Davis, Sr.; wife, Celina and son Wyman H. Davis III; mother-in- law, Eva Jacobs; father-in-law, Marlon (Sarah) Autman; siblings, Erika Armstrong, Maria (Tony McCrimmon) Davis, Jesse "Doobee" (Jessica Drinkwater) Davis; nephews, Aric McCrimmon, David Gresky, Deion Davis, Jerome Armstrong; nieces, A'Leah Davis, Jerrika Armstrong, and great-nephew, King Taylor; brother-in-laws, Nathaniel (Brittani) Pettaway, Derrick Pettaway, Tyler Autman, Jayden Autman, along with a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, friends and extended families of the Autman's and Pettaway's.
The family will receive guests on Friday, July 17, 2020, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. ( 419-381-1900). Funeral Services will be held privately. All regulations regarding social distancing will be enforced.
