William Wellington Wright, Iii

March 9, 1957 — January 14, 2022

William Wellington "Bill" Wright, III aka Santa, age 64, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, January 14, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 9, 1957 to William Wellington Jr. and Rose Marie Wright in Toledo. Bill was a 1975 graduate of Macomber. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bill was a jack of all trades, he owned his own hauling company, All American Hauling and then became a long haul truck driver. Later on he became a professional Santa for many years. Bill was a lifelong lover of airplanes, racing, playing Santa, building and remodeling anything. If a race car needed to be built or a child needed Santa or a whole house remodeled, he was your man! Bill's first true love was his God, Country and second was his adoring wife, Sharon, of 46 years. He had a passion of racing every weekend with Dick, Dee, Danny, Lori, Conrad, Ronnie, Nick and Jeff. Bill also loved to snowbird to Florida with it being on the high priority list to visit lifelong friend, Toby. He enjoyed camping with family and his great friends, Tony, Gene and Linda.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his friends, Darryl and Kenny; and great-niece, Amanda. Left to cherish and carry on his memory and dreams are his wife, Sharon; sisters, Leslie (Jim), Dawn "Dawnie wee wee", Wendy and Jan; children, Amanda (Matthew) Thieman, William Wellington Wright, IV, and Shawn (Melissa) Wright; grandchildren, Joseph (Anna), Elijah (Lexy aka "Runt"), Caleb, Kennedy, Logan, Madalyn, Gabrielle and Cora; nieces and nephews, Lindsey, Ryan (Kayleigh), Jeff, Jeremy, Tony, Alex and Andrew; great-nieces and great-nephews, Matthew, Becca, Caleb and Everly; several cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 12 p.m. For further information, the family has requested inquiries be directed to Sharon or Amanda.

The family would like to give a special thank you to his "Sweetie Pie" for helping to calm him on his journey home.
