William R. Ward Iii

December 11, 1947 — August 19, 2021

William R. Ward III, age 73, resident of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 11, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late William and Shirley (Zepernick) Ward Jr.

William was a graduate of Start High School. He had worked at Sears for many years, Gemerchak Reality, and was a property manager for Choice Properties. William proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He loved being outside and tinkering around the house; whether it was mowing the grass, helping others' with projects, or cleaning the cars. A very social man, William enjoyed going to Panera, where he would spend time with the "crownies", drinking coffee, and going to Loma Linda with his wife, Pamela. A loving father and grandfather, he loved attending his grandkids and kids sporting events. Spending time with family is something he cherished and will forever be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory is his loving wife, Pamela (Conrad) Ward, whom he married on June 6, 1970; children, Stephanie (Aaron) White and William Ward IV; grandchildren, Grace, Addie, Josie a.k.a Jack, and Harlow Ward, Evan White and Nadia White; sister, Alice Batema; brother, Jim Ward; and nieces and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Ward.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you with gratitude to all the doctors and staff at Waterville Family Practice, Mcleren St. Luke's and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, for all of their love, care, and support they gave William and the family during this difficult time. Their care will never be forgotten.
