William C. "Bill" Saylor, Jr., age 67, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Ebeid Hospice were he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 18, 1952 to William C. Saylor, Sr. and Mildred L. (Allen) Saylor in Harlan, Kentucky. Bill was a 1970 graduate of Sylvania Northview High School and worked for over 18 years as a tool and die maker at GM PowerTrain. He was a talented craftsman, especially when it came to woodworking. When Bill wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, being on the water and water-skiing, hunting, archery, playing the guitar and banjo and endless family vacations on the lake and to Florida. Above everything, his pride and joy was his family and spending time with his loved ones.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Mildred Saylor; daughters, Stacy McKie and Sarah (Jason) Fairchild; grandchildren, Kory, Sydney, Kyla, Hunter, Jason, Bailey and Alana; great-grandson, Karson and one expected in March; brothers, Richard (Sherrill) Saylor and Michael (Lana) Saylor; aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, beloved ones and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Saylor, Sr.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with his Funeral Service starting at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
