William Richard "Bill" Kidder, age 77, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in his Bradenton, Florida home with his wife by his side. He was born on October 13, 1938 in Delta, OH to Joseph and Ethel (Derenzy) Kidder.
Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran, then worked as a mold designer for various companies, with most time spent at Owens Illinois. Bill will be remembered as one of the "Best Handymen" around; in his spare time he enjoyed boating, traveling and spending winters in Florida.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Norma (Hallnan) Kidder; he was especially proud of his 3 children, Adam (Linda Wolfe) Kidder, Jody (Kevin) Gabel and Brett Kidder; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea and Michael King, Sara (Macho DeJesus), Stephanie and Samantha Kidder as well as 4 great-grandsons, Ethan, Elijah, Kamari and Khalil. Also surviving are his siblings, Joe Kidder, Jean Szabo and Betty Krumel, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 9, 2016, beginning at 12:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
