William B. Owens, Jr.

William B. "Billy" Owens, Jr., age 49, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital on December 1, 2022. He was born on December 13, 1972 to William and Lynnet Owens. Billy attended Waite High School and was trained as a welder. He was an artistic person who created murals of cartoon figures at several day care facilities. Billy was also an avid pool player who was on several leagues. He was an independent person who followed his own path and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynnet; step-father, James Reeves; and brother, Brent. Left to cherish Billy's memory are his father, William Sr. (Carolyn); daughter, Bryanna Owens; grandchildren, Chance, Jaxon, and Kinsley; sisters, Melissa (John) Cherry and Melinda (Erik) Babcock; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

The family would like to especially thank aunts Robin Whizel and Mary Smith for all of their kind help and assistance to Billy. We would also like to thank the staff at the Heart and Vascular Institute at St. Vincent's for their wonderful care.
