William Overmann

William Overmann, age 87, of Perrysburg, OH passed away December 17, 2020. Bill was in Drensteinfurt, Germany to Paul and Anne (Foegeling) Overmann. He followed his brother, Karl, to the United States at the age of 21. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed with Hydra-Matic for more than 35 years retiring in 1998. Bill was active with the German American Society and Schutzen Verein in Oregon, OH. He enjoyed family, greeting friends, and working on his home and yard.

Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanore Overmann; children, Elizabeth (James) Williams, Rosemarie (Chad) Mulkey and Paul (Julia) Overmann; grandchildren, Josh and Sarah Williams, Jenna, Mallory and Ella Overmann; sisters, Anneliese, Maria and Hildegard. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Karl, Bernhard, Paul, Alfons, Alfred, Agnes and Paul. Bill was affectionately known as Uncle Willi to many nieces and nephews and extended family who will cherish their many memories of his stories and willingness to join in home improvement projects.

Due to the limited capacity, visitation and services will be for the immediate family and friends. Bill will be buried at Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, OH. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of donor's choice in Bill's memory.
