William E. Niner

William E. "Bill" Niner, age 87, of Maumee, OH, passed away on March 29, 2023. Bill was a loving, devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Anna (nee Tipton), son Thomas (Anne) and daughter, Pamela (Stephen) Bowman, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and sister Wilma VanderHorst. He is predeceased by his parents, William I. and Lillian E. Niner, and brother, Ronald.
Bill graduated from the University of Toledo College of Engineering following a brief term of service in the Coast Guard Reserve and US Army, where he met Anna. He retired from Chrysler after 25 years. Bill was a lifelong Freemason, attaining the honor of KYCH. In addition, he was Past Patron of Triune Chapter, OES and Secretary of Northern Light Lodge for 15 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio.
A visitation will be held for Bill on April 6, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a service directly to follow and a Masonic service at 4:30 p.m.at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614.
