William H. Nauman, 68, of Findlay, Ohio, formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away Monday, June 04, 2012 in the Cleveland Clinic, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 12, 1944 in Toledo to George and Dorothy (Harding) Nauman. Bill served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the I.B.E.W. as an electrician. Bill enjoyed traveling on various cruises.
Bill is survived by his children, Jill (Dan) Smith, Scott Nauman and John (Tiffany) Nauman; grandchildren, Jacob, Alexandria "Lexi," Jordan and Austin; sisters, Shirley Shiple, Margaret "Sis" Cornwell, Carol Zapiecki and Ruth Jenkins; brothers, Frank "Butch" (Marlene) Naumann, Michael (Robin) Nauman and Steve Nauman; former wife, Joyce Nauman and companion and caregiver, Stan Plott. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by brothers, Edward and Gerald Nauman.
The family will receive guests Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to VA Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
