William Moore

William S. "Bill" Moore, age 89, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on May 22, 1918 to William and Anna (McGraw) Moore in Toledo. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He worked as a stationary engineer for over 25 years at Interlake Iron before retiring. Bill was an active member of the Jehovah Witnesses since 1967. He pioneered starting in 1979. Bill enjoyed painting and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Moore and brothers, Harvey Moore and Clarence Andres. Bill is survived by his sons: Alton, Jerome (Sandy), Bruce and Brian (Julie) Moore; grandchildren: Ann, Charlie, Debbie (Tom), Jerry (Angie), Jason (Christina), Kari, Kristen, Ryan, Andy and Mike; and great-granddaughters: Allison, Katie and Layla.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Brother Ralph Crabtree.
