William M. "Bill" Slaughter, Jr., age 75, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 22, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, surrounded by loving family. He was born on August 16, 1939 to William and Dolly (Butcher) Slaughter. Bill was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He loved fishing, Nascar, and tinkering in his garage with his radios.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn; and sister, Louise Mollahan. Bill is survived by his loving children, Mike (Becky) Slaughter, Don (Mary) Whetsel, Tom (Chris) Whetsel and Kim Whetsel; grandchildren, Heidi, Tommy, Donnie and Julianne (William); great-grandson, Landon; brothers, Steve (Judy) and Fred (Brenda) Slaughter; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
