William L. Davis, Sr.

William L. Davis, Sr., age 75, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Heatherdowns Rehabilitation and Residential Care Center. He was born February 20, 1939 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to John and Erma (Schwartz) Davis. William served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed in Medical Sales for 30 years. William was a member of the Zenobia Temple Shriners. He was an avid golfer and loved Pittsburgh sports teams.

William is survived by his son, William L. (Jennifer) Davis Jr.; step-daughter, Betty Jo Gittinger; granddaughter, Lauren E. Davis; and sister, Jane Cook. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Davis; step-daughter, Julie Herrera and brother, John Davis.

Family and friends may visit Monday, August 18, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). A Memorial Service will be held Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
