William A. Jacobs

William A. Jacobs, age 84, of Oregon, OH passed away July 7, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. He was born December 6, 1933 in Delaware, OH to George and Irene (Schmeltz) Jacobs. Bill served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards and pool. Bill was self-employed for 40 years in the home improvement industry. The greatest joy of Bill's life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce E. Jacobs; children, Jack (Cynthia) Jacobs, Deborah (Terry) Jenne and Kevin Jacobs; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and brother, Jim Jacobs. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Smothers and Kay Spencer.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
