William J. "Bill" Blazoff, Jr., age 67, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2013, after a long battle with esophageal cancer at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Bill worked at HydraMatic for 41 years until his retirement. Bill was an old movie enthusiast and an avid bowler. His high scores won him so many 300 games, he lost count after his 5th award. Bill also enjoyed fishing and having family dinners.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Cheryl (Steve) Rice; his beautiful grandchildren, Erika, Emma, Ella and Evie; great-granddaugher, Kendall; brother, Bradley Blazoff of Clinton Twp., MI and sister, Kathy Teigland. Also surviving is his former wife, Margie, who remained ever present as his friend and together they continued to enjoy precious family moments. He will also be greatly missed by his buddy of 50 years, Fred Ostrowski, who was helpful and kind to him throughout his illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen (Bodi) Blazoff and sister, Anne Blazoff.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Bill's wishes were to have a blessing which will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will be private and held at a later date.
