William H. Pugh

William "Bill" / "Buzz" H. Pugh Sr., age 88 of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2012. He was born on June 4, 1924 to George and Agnes (Bortz) Pugh. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosella (Konczewski). Surviving are his children William (Christine) Pugh Jr., Lynette (Bob) Wettle and John (Susan) Pugh. Also Surviving are his grandchildren Christine (Keith) Mackey, Jessica (Bobby) Thompson, Corey Wettle, Ashley (Nick) Jones, Matt (Jody, "favorite girlfriend") Pugh and Amy Pugh, two great-grandchildren, Liliana and SadaBella Thompson. Surviving siblings are Mildred (Lenny) Walker, Jim (Donna) Pugh and Bud (Phyllis) Jones. Preceding him in death were his siblings, Mary Katherine, George, Maxine, Carol, Bea, Bev, Barbara, Dick, Sylvia and Lorraine.

Bill was in the Navy during World War ll and fought for his country during the attack on Pearl Harbor, earning him a Purple Heart Medal. During this past summer Bill was able to go with his grandson Matt on "The Honor Flight" to see the war memorials in Washington D.C. He also was a member of the Masons and the Shriners.

The Family will receive guests on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 3:00p.m.-6:00p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin on Saturday at 6:00p.m.
