William F. Hartley, Sr.

William F. "Bill" Hartley, Sr., age 64, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo after many years of illness. He was born on January 20, 1947 to William and Joanne (Campbell) Hartley in Toledo. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving our country proudly in Vietnam. He loved music and riding his motorcycle. Bill was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Bullock and brother-in-law, Bum Hosler. Bill is survived by his children, William Jr., James, Matthew (Joy) and Sarah (Greg) Dittman; grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Miranda and Mason; great-grandson, Jonathan; sister, Jane Hosler, of Tucson, AZ; friend and former spouse, Barb (Phil); beloved canine companion, Gabby; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
