William E. Lantz, 86, passed away on February 29th, 2012. He was born on July 26th, 1925 to the late Erma and Vear Lantz in Monroe, MI.
Bill enjoyed Lake Erie; fishing, boating and spending time with his kids and relatives there. He was a proud veteran of the Navy SeaBees.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Barbara Day and Bill Lantz II; niece, Sharon (Fred) Schmidt; nephews, Jeff and Joe Lantz; grandchildren, Robin and Rachel Day; brother-in-laws, Charlie Lumbrezer and John (Shirley) Fritch; sister-in-law, Pauline Gillen and many other loving family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road (419-473-0300). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Deacon Bob Gillen officiating. Burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Associating, Detroit MI Office, 30200 Telegraph Road, Suite 105, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.
