William E. "Bill" Duncan, age 91 of Toledo passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania after a brief illness. Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II, stationed in Guadalcanal. His working years were spent at McKinnon-Parker and The Douglas Company. After retirement, he enjoyed the hobby of stained glass, taking part in area craft shows and the Stained Glass Guild at Toledo Botanical Gardens.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy; sisters, Edna and Ruby and brother, Clete. He is survived by his son, Dennis (Vicki) Duncan; best granddaughter ever, Megan (Mike) Rinehart; brother, Tommy; sister-in-law, Ida and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the wonderful staff at The Glendale Assisted Living and Flower Hospital for the care and assistance that was given to Bill.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
