William Burns
August 29, 1942 — December 23, 2012
William R. Burns, 70, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Toledo Hospital. Born in Trenton, New Jersey to William and Helen Burns, he lived most of his life in Ohio.
Bill was a loving man with a great sense of humor. He loved his family and friends, golf and fellowship not to mention a fresh cup of coffee, ice cream and a good movie.
Bill was especially proud of his three children, Tracy (Paul) Morse, Teri (Todd) Hagemeyer and William R. (Jill) Burns, III. He is also survived by his brother, Michael (MaryJo) Burns as well as ten grandchildren.
A special thank you to the physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists in the MICU at Toledo Hospital for their constant compassion and care.
The family will receive guests Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., (419-381-1900).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Lung Association.
