William "Bill" Braman Weber, Sr.

Toledo, Ohio

William Braman Weber, Sr. age 92, of Toledo, OH passed away March 25, 2025 at home. He was born December 19, 1932 in Lima, OH to Vance and Katherine (Braman) Weber. Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1950-1954. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, Bill attended The University of Toledo where he was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity and earned his Master's Degree. He was employed by the Toledo Public Schools as an Educator and Administrator, retiring in 1993, after which he and Mary Jane spent many happy winters at their second home on Marco Island, Florida.

Bill had a passion to make others lives better by working at the Child Study Institute, Friendly Center Community Center, as a Pemberville Police Officer and as a Boy Scout Troop Master. He dedicated his life to helping troubled Toledo Public School students with the establishment of PEP (Pre-Employment Program) School.

In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Mary Jane (Ray) Weber; and siblings, Marilyn (Fritz) Lattin and John "Jack" (Mickey) Weber. He is survived by his children, William Braman (Kristina) Weber, Jr., Robert Ray (Lisa) Weber, Kathy Lee (Marek, Jr.) Moldawsky and Karen Lynn (William) Bixler; grandchildren, Andrew (Stacy) Weber, Adam (Yasmeen) Weber, Kathryn Weber, Madison (Austin) Ashe, Nolan Weber, Kristin (Adam) Gehret, Alexander (Cassie) Jurek, Benjamin (Stephanie Clark) Jurek, Meredith Moldawsky, Ryan (Lauren) Bixler and Katelyn (Josh) Schwerer; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Leighton, Easton, Brody and Walter.

The family would like to give special thanks to LSR Homecare Services, LaSheka Diggs, Tiera Martin, Myracle Orr, Heather Orth, Evelyn Grey, and Guardian Angels for their loving care.

The family will receive guests Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Bill will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors rendered for his service to his country.

Memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight, Flag City, Findlay, OH; Alpha Sigma Phi Beta Rho Endowment or Boy Scouts of America in Bill's memory.
