Willard H. "Bill" Miller, age 82, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, with loving family by his side. He was born on December 25, 1930 to Harold and Juanita (Meyers) Miller in Mansfield, Ohio. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly in the Korean War as a Corporal, receiving a purple heart. He was employed with Art Iron for 38 years before retiring. Bill built bikes for kids in the neighborhood and metal model cars. He coached baseball and was an avid NASCAR fan. Bill loved nothing more than the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother. Bill is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Ruth Miller; children, Lorie Miller, Linda Miller, Sandy (Bill) Miller, Gale (Claude) Hambrick, Billy (Danielle) Miller, Pam (Tony) Wroblewski and Leeann (Lenny) Whitehead; 7 grandchildren and one grandson on the way; 1 great-granddaughter; and brother, John Grant.
The family will receive guests on Friday from 3 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Memorial Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
