Willard E. "Bill" Dyer, III, age 75, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Park Terrace Nursing & Rehab. He was born on November 1, 1947 to Willard II "Bud" and Edna (Jennings) Dyer in Toledo. In his younger years Bill split his time between Toledo and Newberry, MI. When in Newberry Bill worked as a hunting and fishing guide at his parent's cabins.
He attended DeVilbiss High School specializing in art and he took ice cream industry courses at Penn State University. Bill worked at Vroman Foods for over 20 years until retiring. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed the outdoors and traveling to Newberry, Michigan among other places with his family. Bill enjoyed collecting Disney memorabilia, department 56 and coins among other things. He had a great sense of humor, was very giving and was the most selfless man one could meet. Bill's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard "Jack" and Clara Dyer; father, Willard "Bud" Dyer II; mother and step-father, Edna and Jim Gilbert; brothers, Terry and Danny Dyer. Left to cherish Bill's memory are his loving children, Willard "Billy" (Martha) Dyer IV, Jack (Tabatha) Dyer, Troy Dyer and Jessica Dyer; grandchildren, Ryan, Samuel, Alec, Izec, Athena, and Jackson; many other family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
