Wilbert Smaw

Wilbert Smaw, age 90, of Toledo, passed away November 2, 2016 at Ebeid Hospice. He was born on October 7, 1926 to Solomon and Lillie Smaw in Cleveland, Ohio moving to Toledo as a small child with his family. Wilbert was an avid reader, loved babysitting his nieces and nephews and was deaf. He was very outgoing and made friends easily.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hezekiah, Solomon, Robert, Emmanuel and Edward; sister, Armead "Helen" Connor. Wilbert is survived by his loving sister, Pearline Kemp; brother, Dr. Philip Smaw, of Memphis, TN; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, November 8,
2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Liberty Garden Road Church, 9624 Garden Rd., Monclova, OH where Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor William O. Crider, Jr. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
