Wieslwa "John" Gawle

Wieslwa "John" Gawle, age 57, of Toledo, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on July 10, 1962 to Mieczyslaw "Mitch" and Theresa (Szczociski) Gawle in Mielec, Poland. John was a graduate of Woodward High School and was a great provider for his family. Most recently he worked for D.P.I. - Decorative Panels International for over 24 years. John immigrated from Poland with his family as a young boy in 1966 and was proud of his Polish heritage. He loved riding his motorcycle, rooting for the Cleveland Brown's and the outdoors. His family will remember him as a loving, faithful and giving husband, father and Dziadzia who put his families needs before his own.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Julie (Ball) Gawle; mother, Theresa Gawle; children, twins Randy and Ashley Gawle (Denny Oehlers), Marty Durfey and Roxanne (Joshua) Mohn; grandchildren, Natalie, twins Allysen and Avah and Logan; siblings, Halina (Mike) Brown, Maria (Bruce) Drews and Urszula Gawle; feline friend, FeFe; longtime friend, Larry Gorniak; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his father, Mitch Gawle; first wife, Janice Oswald and infant granddaughter.

The family will receive guests on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Final Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Adalbert & Hedwig Church, 3233 Lagrange St. with Rev. Thomas J. Extejt officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
