Wesley Albert Falls

December 18, 1930 — January 6, 2023

Wesley Albert Falls, age 92, of Sylvania, Ohio was welcomed home by his savior the Lord Jesus Christ in the morning hours on Friday, January 6, 2023. He was born December 18, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Albert and Florence (Pauken) Falls.

Wesley graduated in 1949 from Rossford High School, in Rossford, Ohio. Following high school he enlisted in the Marines and served proudly in the Korean War. After his military service he worked 36 years at Dana Corporation as a purchasing agent. He then went on to work at Toth Industries, Inc. for 11 years in sales and purchasing.

He was in the USMC 8th Infantry Battalion until called to serve with the 1st Marine Division and while in Korea served as Radio Man Forward Observer. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion, Joseph W. Diehn, Post 468, and served in various positions. In 2011 he was granted the privilege as the Grand Marshal in the annual Memorial Day Parade in Sylvania, Ohio. He enjoyed volunteering in the Sylvania schools within the Americanism Program.

Wesley was a man of faith, trusting solely in Jesus Christ for his salvation. He attended the Christian Fellowship of Toledo for over forty years serving in various capacities.

Wesley was an extrovert who enjoyed being the "life of the party" when gathered with family and friends. He will always be remembered as a very funny story teller. He was passionate about his sports, notably the Los Angeles Dodgers and Ohio State Buckeyes. He played basketball at Rossford High School, and later coached basketball, baseball, and girls softball, as well refereeing basketball for OHSAA seventeen years. Most importantly, we are left to cherish his unwavering time and commitment to his large blended family.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Delphine (Balonek) Falls 1969, and brother Norman Falls 2015. Surviving is his loving wife of fifty-two years, Barbara (Wilcox) Falls, and children Ken (Jill) Falls, Dan (Lynne) Falls, Christine (Tom) Braithwaite, Margie (Doug) King, Kevin (Amber) Falls, Jeff (Barb) Falls, Jim Best, Jackie Best, Jenny Best, and Janice (Trent) Buehrer; twenty-two grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
