Wayne Truman Hartung

Wayne Truman Hartung, 85, of Toledo, was called home by the Lord on December 27th at home surrounded by his loving family and his furry companions Gracie and Willow. He was born on August 2, 1939 to James and Marion (Beman) Hartung in Detroit, MI.

Wayne married Ann L Hartung (Besesky) and spent 57 years together. He Honorably served in the US Army and was in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion in Swanton, Ohio and supported military organizations. Wayne worked in sales and in his spare time he found pleasure in fishing, hunting and racing.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Ann; children, Kurt (Debra) Hartung, Bradley Hartung, Katrene (Ralph) Achterhof, Debbie (Rex) Corbin, Tony (Lynn) Hartung, and Vikki (Bryan) Dunbar; grandchildren, David, Jessica, Mikey, Jenny, Mandy, Brandy, Emily, Shane, Wyatt, Megan, Beth, Courtney, Ashley, Kennedy, Jacob, and Kristopher; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Leila, Nathan, Luna, Everleigh , Isaac, Jude, Skyler, Alden, Camden, Maxton, and Gideon; and brother, Richard (Maryann) Hartung. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marion Hartung; brothers, George, Lyle, and Bob Hartung; and infant sister.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM with a funeral service at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Rd, Toledo, Ohio. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to the charity of choice.
