Wayne Elgin

Wayne E. "Butch" Elgin, age 63, of Sylvania, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007 at his daughter's home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 7, 1943 to Robert and Alice (Lang) Elgin in Toledo. Wayne was employed with Daimler Chrysler for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Wayne loved to gamble and go hunting and after retirement he often enjoyed traveling with his wife.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Judith M. (Lyons) Elgin; children: Tammy (Edward) Findlay, Robert Elgin, Lori (Lewis) Gates and Bridget (Wes) Gipson; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and dog: Abby. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) from 2 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Kim Sparkman. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery.
