Warren Griffith, age 91, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009. On February 17, 1918 he was born to Harry and Frieda (Puls) Griffith in Cincinnati.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Florence (Entenmann) Griffith of Toledo, son, Robert (Sharon) Griffith of Shelby Township, Michigan; daughter, Joan (Harry) Overcashier of Toledo; daughter, Janet (Rob) McClintock of Ottawa Lake; daughter, Carol (Mike) Matthews of Toledo; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and brother, Millard 'Brandy' Griffith.
Preceding Warren in death is his son, Richard Griffith; sister, Thelma Barton; brother, Harley Griffith.
Warren was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Spuyten-Duyval Golf Club, and an Assosiate Member of VFW Post # 606. He will be remembered as a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In any time of need, Warren was always there for his family.
The family will receive guests Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419) 473-0300. Memorial Services will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial contributions may be made to, The First Tee or to a charity of the donor's choice.
