Warren D. Collins, age 56, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008. He was born to Robert and Josephine (Galliers) Collins on September 20, 1952. Warren worked at Walgreens Distribution Center in Perrysburg. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees. Warren often enjoyed taking his mother-in-law to concerts and Mud Hens games. His passion in life was his family, especially his grandson Nathaniel Dale.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Josephine, step-father, Fred Galliers, sister, Lorry and grandmother, JoAnn Obarski. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kathy; sons, David R. and Justin D. Collins, daughter-in-law, Nicole Collins; grandson, Nathaniel Dale; mother-in-law, Shirley Kear; father-in-law, Bruce Kear; brothers, Robert Errol and Rorry; sister, Terry, his greatest champion and friend; Willard, Adelaide and Penelope McCartney; step-sister, Nancy Lindsey; sister-in-law, Sally Smith; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Richard O. Sauerlender. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
