Wanda "Mae" Stewart, born in 1930 to James and Lillian Stewart, passed away peacefullyFriday the 26th of October at Swan Point Care Center, Maumee.
A lifelong resident of the Toledo area, Wanda worked for over 15 years at the former Prestolite office building cafeteria.
Wanda enjoyed playing card games, fishing, taking road trips and spending time with her family. She loved dogs, enjoyed roller skating and had an impressive collection of figurines. Her favorite dog was her Pomeranian "Snuggles."
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Hetz and several nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and beloved friend Henry Rupp.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Michael Brewer presiding. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30,000 East River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
