Wanda "Rusty" Haslbeck, age 79, of Toledo, went to be with the Lord, September 2, 2006 after a courageous 1 year battle with brain cancer. She was born on April 3, 1927 to John and Josephine Kendziora in Toledo. Rusty was an employment manager with Mercy Hospitals for over 25 years. She was a member of the Mercy Hospital Guild, Maumee Elks and the Bavarian Club. Rusty enjoyed spending time in Hilton Head with the ones she loved. She had numerous friends and would always say "There's always room for one more!" Rusty had a strong love for her family and her cats Rumer and Hasty.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Haslbeck in 2002 and her brothers, Edward and Adolph Kendziora. Rusty is survived by her loving family, daughter: Karen (Michael) Casey; granddaughter: Erin (Patrick) Roper; great-grandson: Casey Joseph; sisters: Lottie "Dusty" (Howard) Ward and Virginia Underhill; and loving friend: Merrill "Merk" Merkle.
Respecting Rusty's wishes there will be no visitation or services. The Newcomer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
