Walter passed away peacefully May 24, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife and son. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Harvey Wishnewitz and Ellen Shadday.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was veteran of Vietnam.
Walter worked as an auditor at Chrysler for 42 years before retiring in December of 2019. He loved the friends he made along the way and some were very special to him. Walt was a very giving and fun loving man. He loved hunting, fishing, cooking, taking long rides and spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eric; sister, Valerie; brother, Steve; parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte; son, Brad; sisters, Karen Goulding (Bruce Ott), and Debbie (Steve Lay); grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew, Erika, Jake, Ashley, Joe and Evan; great-grandchildren, Tony, AJ, Avah and Alivia.
Family will receive guests Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road Toledo, Ohio. A private service will be held for the family at 3:00 p.m. Food and fellowship will follow the services at the American Legion Hall 1074 Clarion Ave., Holland, Ohio.
