Walter S. Smith, age 83, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, January 18th, 2011 at University of Toledo Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Walter A. and Margaret J. Smith.
Walter enlisted in the United States Army in 1946 and was stationed in Germany.
He retired from Cleveland Plant & Flower Co. Wholesale Florists as the Toledo Branch Manager.
Walter is survived by his "kindergarten" sweetheart and loving wife of 63 years: Nancy (MacQuilkin); son: Bradd (Diane); daughter: Bonnie Bailey; grandchildren: Lori (James) Roberts, Stacey (Gary) Copeland, Lisa Bailey, Adam Smith; great-grandchildren: Gavin Copeland and Lindsey Roberts.
