Walter "Junior" Cable Jr., age 66, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020
Junior was born August 15, 1954 to Walter Cable Sr. and Bonnie Gray in Hayti, Missouri. He was a very skilled and accomplished mechanic. He could repair any model car brought his way. Being a diesel mechanic is what he exceled in. Junior received multiple certificates to stay current with this ever growing occupation. He retired in 2017 from his job where he worked for over 20 years.
Junior loved music, he was a very talented musician with the ability to play musician with the ability to play multiple instruments. His main choice was guitar which he played "Lead" as well as the "Base". He enjoyed being a part of the music department at his church.
Junior married Sonya Watson on June 4, 1994. Although they made the decision to divorce, they remained good friends and continued to love and care for their children and grand-children together.
Junior was preceded in death by his father, Walter Cable Sr.; and grandparents. He is survived by his mother Bonnie Johnson; children, Sherese, Dennis, James, Walter III, and Bobby; brother, Willie Cable; sister, Delores Strickland; 14 grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; aunts; uncles and friends.
Walter Jr was a great man, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed beyond words.
Family will be receiving guests from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614 (419 381 1900). Memorial Services will begin at 3 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
