Walter C. Hardy, age 86, passed away on December 27, 2014. He was born on July 9, 1928 to the late Ola and Mark Hardy in Bryan, Ohio.
Walt was a proud Veteran of the Korean War where he served with the Seventh Division United States Army. He was a long-time Manager of Capital Tire in Perrysburg. Walt was a member of the Toledo Muzzle Loaders, American Legion #320L and the Ohio Flint Lock and Buckskin Rendezvous Association. Walt loved to hunt, fish and shoot. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Walt loved spending time with his family and traveling with his wife to Florida.
In addition to his parents, Walt was preceded in death by his siblings, Florence, Kathryn and Clarence. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 64 years, Goldie; sons, Walter Jr. (Kim) and Edward (Cheryl); granddaughter, Angela (Kelly) Juarez; great-grandsons, Helio and Gabriel.
The family will receive guests on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – Noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at Noon. Burial will take place at Weston Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
