Wallace E. Friedel, 87, passed away on November 5th, 2011.
Wallace was a Sgt. in the 198th General Hospital in Paris, France during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl S. and Sophie A. (Hurdelbrink) Friedel; and brother, Dale W. Friedel. Left to cherish Wallace's memory is his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth Ann (Schroeder); children, Kathleen A. Friedel, Janine R. (Doyle) Gouty, Aline M. Wells, Wallace E. (Jeanne) Friedel II; grandchildren, Kevin D. (fiancée, Sarah) Wells, Raymond A. Friedel, Anna F.D. Friedel.
He will be remembered as a generous son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Military honors will be held in Toledo Memorial Park at the graveside. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home.
