Virginia M. Rihacek, age 80, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 11, 1936 to Robert and Geraldine (McCort) King in Toledo. Virginia was a longtime member of Little Flower Parish. She loved gardening and crafts. Virginia loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, James Rihacek, Sr.; and son, James Rihacek, Jr. Virginia is survived by her loving children, Kim (Jay) Sims, Timothy (Christine) Rihacek and Shaun (Kristen) Rihacek; grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Nixon, Matthew Letson, Ashley Rihacek, Aaron Rihacek, Devin Letson, Evelyn Rihacek, Alexandra Rihacek, Gabriel Rihacek and Michael Rihacek; great-grandson, Nathan Nixon; sister, Beverly Snyder; niece, Teri (Bill) Snyder-Teetrick; and nephews, Mike and Mark Snyder.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Scripture Service beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Little Flower Parish, 5522 Dorr St., Toledo, OH 43615 with visitation from 10 – 11:00 a.m. in church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
