Virginia Marie Nagucki Palmer Staton
November 19, 1932 — March 28, 2021
Virginia Marie Nagucki Palmer Staton passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28th, 2021. Virginia, known as Ginny, was born on November 19th, 1932, to Leo and Clara Nagucki in Toledo, Ohio.
She attended Trinity Lutheran School for grade school and went on to attend Libbey High School. To help with her family's needs, she left school to work at a glove factory. Ginny was also a baker at Daso Bakery and then she worked as a home health aide for around twenty years at Allied Health Services where she retired.
Ginny had many loves in her life, but her most important was the love she had for Jesus Christ. She loved reading the Bible and singing hymns. Ginny enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially at gatherings, birthdays, and holidays. She loved being outside, going for walks, and gardening. She was an avid cat lover and had many throughout her life. Ginny loved to listen to country music. She enjoyed going out dancing with her friends and family.
Ginny is survived by her devoted daughters, Sharon Jackson, Karen (Sami) Palmer, Brenda (Mark) Ruse, Lisa (Bob) Staton, and Julie (Bill) Keaton. She is survived by her sister Barb Grindle, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years Kenneth James Staton, her parents Leo and Clara Nagucki, her sisters Leona and Lillian, brother Donald, and granddaughter Rachael.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 4150 W. Laskey Rd. in Toledo. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family. For the safety of Virginia's family and guests, masks are required along with social distancing.
A special thank you to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio and the nurses at Lakes of Sylvania for their wonderful care of Ginny.
