Virginia Lorenzen Ford, age 93, passed away on September 28, 2016. She was born on June 20, 1923 in Toledo, Ohio.
Virginia was the owner and founder of Rose Arbor Kennels for over 40 years. Later in life she found her true passion making ceramics, porcelain dolls and China and oil painting. Virginia enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and belly-dancing.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Virginia "Ginger" (Larry Albanese) Rose; son, James (Carol) Lorenzen; grandchildren, Suzanne (Jim) Conrad, Brian (Racquel) Lorenzen, Ann (Chris) Batch, Sarah Riedeman, Gwynne (Dan) Bibish, Janelle (Aaron) Teitlebaum and Joshua (Abdull Hadi) Lorenzen; great-grandchildren, Jacob Riedeman, Daniel, Tessa and Ginger Conrad, Chase, Samantha and Peyton Lorenzen, Andrew and Danielle Hayes, Avery Teitlebaum and special "Sister-Cuz", Erlene Kaltenbach.
Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas L. Lorenzen; second husband, A. L. Ford; son, Larry (Darlene) Lorenzen.
The family will receive guests on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 9-11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Chuck Campbell officiating.
