Virginia R. Garcia
Virginia R. Garcia, age 79, of Toledo, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home, Wednesday, January 3, 2007. She was born May 19, 1927 to William and Florence Dyer in Toledo. Virginia was employed with the Jeep Corporation for many years, retiring in 1992.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Yvonne Brown and siblings, Gerald Dyer and Marian Hunsaker. Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Thatcher Garcia, Sr.; sons, Gerald Garcia; Thacher (Adelita) Garcia, Jr. and Robert (Patty) Garcia; daughters, Kathy MaGinn; Angela (John) Couperthwaite and Michelle (Matt) Cunningham; brother, William "Junior" Dyer and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Lauman. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
