Virginia F. "Ginny" Garard

Virginia F. “Ginny” Garard, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Perrysburg Care and Rehab. She was born on July 6, 1943 to Willard Jr. and Gladys (Dodge) Ray in Toledo. Ginny graduated from Woodward High School. She worked in banking as a teller for many years before retiring. Ginny was an avid walker, enjoyed checking out garage and yard sales and shopping. She loved to play Yahtzee and Bunco with family and friends and taking casino trips. Ginny liked traveling with her husband and going on cruises. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Garard; children, Ronald Sam Garard, Ray Albert Garard and Jackie Owens; and siblings, Kenneth Ray, and Linda Cundick. Left to cherish Ginny’s memory are her grandchildren, Lena, Kayla, Dillion and T.J.; siblings, Deanna (Dan) Schneider, Letta Clemens, Darrell (Janice) Ray, and Robert (Cheryl) Ray; brother-in-law, Harry Cundick; daughter-in-law, Sandy Garard; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

There will be no visitation per Ginny’s wishes. A private family service will be held at a later date. Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel assisted the family with professional services.
