Virgil B. Warn, age 83 of Toledo, passed away Monday, November 7th, 2005 in the Veteran Hospital, Ann Arbor. He was born February 25th, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio. Virgil was employed with Blue Line for many years. He was an avid baseball fan following the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox. He also spent many years traveling and camping with his wife, Jackie. Virgil was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran receiving several medals including a Purple Heart for his service.
In addition to his mother, Alta Walker, Virgil was preceded in death by his brothers, Vyrl and Stanley Walker. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Zerby) Warn; son, Charles Warn; 7 step-children and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Friday from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry S. Craig. Interment to follow.
A special thanks goes to the caregivers of the ECC Unit of the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor for the loving care and support they provided to Virgil and his family.
