Violet Koester Schwellinger

Violet Koester Schwellinger, age 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday, September 11th, 2009 at her home. She was born August 19th, 1916 to William and Gertrude (Reif) Zunk in Martin, Ohio. Violet was a longtime member of Unity Church and was interested in Metaphysical Studies. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family. Violet was a longtime resident of Toledo, also having a second home in Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Koester; Seth Breighner and Robert Schwellinger. Violet is survived by her loving children, Linda (Walter) Zech of Laguna Beach, CA; Jay (Susan) Koester and Gary (Judy) Koester; grandchildren, Lani Delnero (Carlos) of Laguna Niguel, CA; Michele Orantes; Kristi Koester of Redondo Beach, CA; Ryan Koester of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Russell (Lisa) and Jon Koester both of Toledo, OH; great grandchildren, Jonah; Braeden and Majesty; dear friend and second cousin, Betty Millinger and many dear and special friends.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. St. John's United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington, Genoa, Ohio. Visitation will begin 1 hour prior.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cherry Street Mission or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
