Violet Frick, age 82, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on September 30, 1928 to Francis and Emma (Hudson) Cornes in Toledo. Violet was employed at Libbey Glass and then CJ Bricks for many years. She loved to play Bingo and cards. Violet loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Frick, Sr.; son, Lawrence Frick, Jr.; and siblings, Rose Brecklin, Eddie Cornes and Kathleen Cornes. Violet is survived by her loving children, Georgia (Artie) Agapitos, Lucy (Jim) Bartlett, Betty (Rich) Walker, Henry Frick, Diane (Dale) Johnson and George (Judy) Frick; 32 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lorie Frick; former son-in-law, Jim Walker; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Thursday (today) from 5 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) and again on Friday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
