Vincent Smith

Vincent Smith age 64 of Toledo, Ohio passed peacefully away on April 16, 2025 in his home. He was born in Chicago, IL on April 9, 1961 to Grady and Lettie (Dixon) Smith.

Vince was employed at Fed Ex Freight for 20 years. For the past 7 years, he owned and operated Verdant View Lawn Service.

Vince will be remembered for his infectious smile; his ability to light up a room; he never met a stranger and his ability to comfort and encourage others. His favorite phrase: You need a scripture. Vince loved to BBQ, share a meal with others, and sitting on the patio with his wife, catching up on what happened that day.

Surviving is his loving wife, Linda Smith who he married on June 16, 2001; daughter, Shatara Smith; son, Laron (Aisha) Isreal, Christopher Chinni and grandchildren, Freedom Isreal, Skyler Chinni and Brent Chinni; sisters, Patricia Donald and Ester Donald; and brothers, Larry Donald and Stanley (Debra) Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother. Lettie Donald; father. Grady Smith and brothers, Eric and Russell Dixon

A memorial service to celebrate Vince’s life will be held at the Kingdom Hall, 3725 W. Alexis Rd., Toledo on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
