Vincent G. Rapoza

Vincent G. Rapoza, age 80, of Toledo passed away Monday, January 24, 2005 in the Toledo Hospital. He was born March 22, 1924 to Frank and Diana (LaFrocia) in Brooklyn, New York. He was employed with Neptune Meter as a machinist. Most recently he was employed with T.C. Wilson working with the government through the Navy. Vincent was a U.S. Navy Seaman, 1st Class and a member of the American Legion Post #587. He was also a longtime member of St. Pius X Church.

In addition to his parents, Vincent was preceded in death by his loving wife, Genevieve A. Rapoza; brothers, Joe; Frank and John Rapoza; sisters, Mary and June. He leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Gloria; Rosie; Betty and Diana and brother Robert Rapoza, as well as many nieces and nephews, including, Ed and Linda Mowka and Douglas Mowka; sisters-in-law; Wanda and Pat Hogan and Felicia and Walter Malecki; and dear friends Ed and Marciel Conaway and a host of good friends from Conn-Weissenberger Post #587.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9-11:00 a.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 11:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Church, 3011 Carskaddon. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
