Veronica Villarreal, age 65, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. She was born on July 23, 1956, in Oregon, Ohio, to the late Augustine and Isabelle (Rodriguez) Plasencio.
Veronica graduated from Waite High School and then continued her education at Bowling Green State University. She had worked for the Toledo Post Office for 30 years. Veronica was an active member of Regina Coeli Parish for over 20 years. She liked to travel, especially to Texas and Italy. She enjoyed reading, gardening, going out to dinner, going to the casino, and playing games on her tablet. Veronica adored her dog, Rocky, but most of all, cherished the time spent with her family and grandchildren. She will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Frank Villarreal; children, Sergio Plasencio, Crystal Villarreal, and Frank Villarreal Jr.; grandchildren, Selecia Renee, Angelica Hope, and Annelise Lee; siblings, Robert Plasencio, Anita Castaneda, Carmelita Duran, Mary Silva, Loretta Alonzo, Rick Plasencio and Delores Tramill; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Dickens; and a brother, Michael Plasencio.
Family and friends may gather at Regina Coeli Parish, 530 Regina Pkwy, Toledo, Ohio 43612, on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, with Fr. George Mahas officiating. Veronica will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
