Veronica M. Shlepr

"Well done good and faithful servant" Matthew 25:21, words Veronica must have heard when she entered his eternal home on July 20, 2024 from Hospice of NWO with her loving family at her side. Welcomed home by her parents, Walter & Nellie (Cybert) Stokowski; in-laws Wilbert & Sophie Shlepr, her loving husband Jeffery Shlepr and all her deceased family and friends. 

Born on May 1, 1944 in Cleveland, OH, Veronica graduated from Fairview Park High School in 1962. She met the love of her life, Jeff Shlepr and was married to him for 55 years until his passing in 2020. They went on to have 3 children, Elizabeth, John, and Kathryn. Veronica excelled as a wife and a mother. Her family was everything and always came first. Veronica was blessed with a sense of humor and used it to answer questions and make unexpected comments making everyone around her laugh. Veronica enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, bingo, antiquing and spending time with her family. 

Grieving their loss but celebrating her life are her 3 children John Shlepr, Elizabeth (Alan) Cohrs, Kathy (Frank) Dunning as well as her 7 grandchildren; Tucker, Becca, Sophia, Bobby, Alexia, Jack and Alan. She will also be missed by her siblings Anita Reinhart, Phyllis Bradford, Walter (Eileen) Stokowski and many others in the Stokowski/Shlepr family as well as numerous friends she held dear. 

Donations can be made in Veronica’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Services will begin immediately following visitation at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
