Vernon Embery was born on April 16, 1944 to Readus and Lula Embery in Akron, Alabama. He was second oldest of three children. Vernon attended Toledo Public School's System. He worked at Lott Industries for 25 years.
Vernon was preceded in death by both parents and oldest brother, Kenneth Franklin Minor. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted sister, Marcia (Lee) Madison; special nephew, Aaron (Laura) Embery; great nieces, Cheyenne and Rio; great nephews, Maddox and Jaden; and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive guests Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Resurrection Baptist Church, 3360 Nebraska Ave. Toledo, OH 43607. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 12:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Historic Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.
